To work with Items and Service

Items allow you to fill out the line item area of sales or purchase form quickly. When you choose an item from your Item list, QuickBooks fills in a description of the line item and calculates the amount for you.

QuickBooks provides ten different types of items.

Some— such as the service item or the inventory part item. It helps you to record the services and products your business sells.

Others— such as the subtotal item or discount item. It is used to perform calculations on the amounts in a sale.

• Choose the Items and Service tab from the Customers navigator bar.

• And then you will see the Item List dialog box appeared as shown below.
